Bae Soo Bin

I have so many 'oppas' not only because they are so good looking but also because they are so good at what they do - acting. They are on my watchlist. Well, my no.1 is still

1. Jo Hyun Jae

2. Yoon Kye Sang

3. Kang Ji Hwan

4. So Ji Sup

5. Oh Man Seok

6. Gong Yoo

7. Ji Jin Hee

Well, now move over So Ji Sup and make room for Bae Soo Bin! He already caught my eye in Jumong, then Emperor of the Sea, after that Painter of The Wind... and now Shining Inheritance aka Brilliant Legacy. Who wouldn't fall for Jun Se Oppa then? His name rise up after this drama, even get noticed by that weird designer Andre Kim. But I was so sad for I know in this drama he won't get his happy ending, the heroine falls for that spoiled brat! Maybe that is why I've been taking my sweet time watching this drama, cause I know his sad moment will come soon :'(

didn't he look good with specs? frankly his eyes are what caught my eyes...
I think most guy with long locks at the front are good looking...
Or some facial hair hehe...

Crazy For You (3)

What would you do if you fall in love with the person who caused the death of the person you were in love before? Even if its accidental, even if its unintentional; but the fact remains the same - he/she was the reason that your beloved's life was cut short. Even if you could forgive him/her, but would you be able to be with him/her with a clear conscience? would you be able to forget that 'fact'?
Suh Jin Young absorbed herself with work after her fiance was killed in road accident the day before their wedding day. Their bestfriend Hyun Chul went abroad and left her alone dealing with her own grief because he himself was in love with her. He was on the phone with his friend when his friend got hit. The last word he said to Hyun Chul was he knows about Hyun Chul feeling and he trust him...then the sound of BAM! He went back after 5 years, thinking he was cured of his feeling but just one look and all those 5-years effort was useless...

Kim Chae Jun cant get a stable work being an ex-convict, but Director Suh Jin Young give him a chance as an aviation mechanic. Then his childhood sweetheart Min Hee left him because she dont like to live in poverty. She knows that he's willing to work hard for her to get whatever it is she want. But that just it, not anybody had to work hard just to get a bigger tv. Min Hee was materialistic in a nice way, you could understand her frustration and ambition. Furthermore, it gives reason for Min Hee to let go of Chae Jun's hand first ^_^ Chae Jun was falling for the kind and baeutiful Jin Young and she was falling for the hard working, honest, charming, cheerful Chae Jun.
Then, they later found out it was Chae Jun who hit Jin Young's fiance. It didnt help their relationship either by the fact that Jin Young was living with her dead fiance's parents as if she really are their daughter-in-law. To not broken everyone hearts, she kinda broke up with Chae Jun and try to hate him and even wished that he got beaten to death. She no longer can hide from reality by using her working endlesssly. She cant forget Chae Jun. Was it worth it to make everyone happy by living in misery? Or would you be able to be happy when you know you had broken many hearts? Tough choice, but if I were her, they were not my real parents anyway...
Then there's Min Hee and Hyun Chul. Pityful Min Hee, its alright for her to see Chae Jun in pain because of her, but when it was because of another woman, she can's stand it. Pityful, Hyun Chul, happy to be married to the one he love knowing she's in love with another man.

My 19 Year Old Sister-in-Law (3)

Its been awhile since I post about my kdrama, partly because I was finishing off the Stephenie Meyer's New Moon and Eclipse and the other because I only got Vol.1 for Yi San...sigh! when will Vol.2 be available??????? When I watched the whole drama then I'll post something about it.....
After falling in love with Yoon Kye Sang in 'Who Are You', I simply wanna watch his other works, and since my niece had this drama ^-^ I'll just have to borrow from her. (Currently in the process of watching Crazy For You - looks promising!)

First of all this drama shouldnt be titled as such, since it told the story when she was 19 and 24 years old. It's about a 19 year old girl, Yoo Min who after the death of her mother when she was 4, was left/abandoned in a train by the two aunts who works at her mother's restaurant. She was later adopted by the couple who found her and later when her adopted father lost at sea and the adopted mother left for parts unknown, she alone take cares of her sick adopted brother, Kang Pyo. She didn't remember much of her childhood, she thought she was abandoned by her parents, so she wants to ask them, even if they are so poor, did they even try to take care of her? She took care of the sick Kang Pyo who don't have any blood relation to her- no matter how hard and trying it is- why couldnt they?

Because of her brother illness, she frequented the hospital Min Jae works at and had a crush on him for years and accidently when she was 19 she meets Seung Jae- the younger brother of Min Jae-who at the time was running away from home. To deter his mother effort to marry him to some socialite, Min Jae gets in an engagement contract with Yoo Min and they all end up living at Min Jae's house. The contract expire when his first love return back to him.

Unexpectedly, Seung Jae and Yoo Min are going to the same high school and those close encounters make him fall in love with her. But he hide it all inside, because he love his brother so much, who also began to develop tender feelings for Yoo Min

I was guessing it was 50-50 at first, which brother she end up with, but then there are more interaction between Seung Jae and Yoo Min rather than with Min Jae so its sorta tipped towards Seung Jae at the end. But the past started unraveling, so maybe she wont choose either brother.... See its their mother who left her on the train!
On the other hand, Yoo Min's father who got amnesia from a car accident when she was four is looking for her again after being told the truth by his father of his marriage and the daughter he never knew he had. He met Su Ji, Yoo Min's childhood friend (one of the aunts' daughter) who remembered him. She knew what her mother had done, so she covered it up by telling Yoo Min's father that her daughter was dead in an accident when she was 9 years old. Funnily enough he bought it, without needing further proof. Even if they dont have grave or they scattered the ashes away at sea or higher ground, don't they have death certifcates or something??? He later sort of treated Su Ji as his surrogate daughter. Not only Su Ji would lose so much if the trut was revealed, she was also in love with Seung Jae who regards her as a sister only...

Cast:

Jung Da Bin as Yoo Min
(DOB: 1980-Mar-04, Died: 2007-Feb-10)
According to police's primary investigation, Jeong death was suicide due to depression.
I didnt like her in this drama - too over, too fake. Then I found that she was no longer among the living. Feeling sad suddenly... Life, you'll never know when its your turn...

Kim Jae Won as Kang Min Jae (DOB: 1981-Feb-18)

Kim Min Hee as Choi Su Ji (DOB: 1982-Mar-01)
Yoon Kye Sang as Kang Seung Jae (DOB: 1978-Dec-20)
Hee...he was older than Kim Jae Won but he played the younger siblings. I thinks its in his smile so young and carefree...but it contrast with his sad eyes... Heehe...by the many pics I posted here, you can guess that he ranks among the top of my Kactors now, maybe even my no.2 ^_^

Who Are You? (4.5)

A second drama I finished watching from mysoju. Its another story of spiritual possession, but this one much more interesting!

In a Korean tradition mixing Buddhism and Confucianism, the soul of a dead person is left on earth for 49 days before going to the afterlife. In this drama, it tells about those 49 days that a father has to make things right for his daughter, it tells about how we take for granted those loved ones around us and only known their values once they are gone, it tells about how we need to open our heart to find happiness and reason to live eventhough by opening it we might allow pain and suffering to get in also and how ill-gotten wealth would not guarantee the satisfaction that we wished for.

Cha Seung Hyo (Yoon Kye Sang) is a cold hearted corporate raider, he was sent to an orphanage when his father was sent to prison. Later on, he was adopted and lived in the States. Maybe because of his troubled chilhood he had this obsessive tendency to keep things neat, tidy, clean and perfect. He had an accident the same day as Son Il Gun (Kam Nam Gil) and was in a coma. After begging to the 'Reaper' to give him more time for the sake of his daughter, the 'Reaper' allowed Son Il Gun to inhibit Cha Seung Hyo body for 3 hours a day for the next 49 days. Son Young In (Go Ah Ra) was left all alone in the world after her father dies. The only person left to care for her were her two best friend the wheel-chaired-bound Yang Ji Suk (Lee Min Jung) and Kwon Yong Duk (Lee Un). Then there is her seems-to-be-knight-in-shining-armour Shin Jae Ha (Jin Yi Han, who comes to her rescue on her father's burial day.

I started to enjoy this drama when Cha Seung Hyo was being possessed by the spirit of Sun Il Gun. Yoon Kye Sang really is a good actor; I didn’t really think he was all that good-looking but he was so adorable, especially when he was performing the dance on the street, from then on that he started to get more handsomer and handsomer. Hmmm...It could be the amusement at seeing Yoon Kye Sang regularly transition from hard, snobbish stubborn businessman into kinda-dorky, good-natured old man character. It was so 'real' the way he can 'inhibit' both characters so well - both the smug man and the happy-go-lucky father. Go Ah Ra is okay, but I feel like the drama would be more umpph! playing by a better, stronger lead actress.
There are so many dialogues that I like in this drama such as when Sung Hyo confronts Jae Ha who took Young In to live with him, he asked "Are you always so helpful, or is it calculative?"
Jae Ha answered, "If you must have my answer, than I'm both. I am helpful but I am also calculative at the same time"
Seung Hyo : "You're pretty ambitious, arent you?"
Jae Ha: "We're human after all. I'm at least better than those who are solely calculative, am I not?"
Seung Hyo: "If being helpful is part of being calculative, that'll be a different issue. If you're intending to be calculative all the way then I hope you will also continue to be helpful till the end"

*It brings to mind the saying "Cruel to be Kind", would you rather being treated kindly by a person who wishes to benefitted something from you? When they get what they want, where will you be? or would you rather dace the hard-cruel-reality face on?*

Young In: “Why do you raise turtles? You could have dogs, or cats.”

Seung Hyo: “They’re quiet, and not bothersome. And they’ll live longer than me. If they try to run away, they walk slower than I do, so I’d never lose them. Even if they left, they’d go to the sea, and I’ll know where to look and wait.”
then in another scene...
Young In said to him : “I want to be by your side, instead of your turtles. I’ll live longer than your turtles. I’m eleven years younger than you, so I can live longer. I won’t leave you to be alone.”

Seung Hyo: “I’m someone who can’t hide things well, so I’ll talk frankly. You occupy my thoughts too. Yes, I keep thinking of you. But this is what I don’t like — it’s uncomfortable and annoying, to have someone appear and interfere with my space and my order of things. I’m really awkward at meeting and separating, leaving someone or sending them away. If I confused you, I apologize. Plus I’m eleven years older than you.”

Young In: “What difference does age make?”

Seung Hyo: “It makes a difference. Age is always an issue. I can’t handle you, and you can’t handle me. You should stop thinking of me, and find someone who suits you. Because I don’t think I’m right for you.”

*yup, AGE is ALWAYS an ISSUE, eventhough its just a number*

then, there is this scene when thay arrive at the orphanage when they are looking on at the children playing soccer (football), Young In said: “I feel better because they don’t look lonely.” But Seung Hyo told her not to judge so quickly : “You don’t know, they could be chasing that soccer ball trying hard not to be lonely.”

Young In: “Would you like me to be your soccer ball?”

Seung Hyo: “Why, so I’d kick you away? I already did that. Do I need to do it some more? Fine, whenever I see you each day I’ll kick you away.”
Instead of feeling insulted Young In recounter brightly, “So you’ll meet me every day?”

Seung Hyo : “What kind of woman has no pride like that?”

Young In : "I have a lot of pride but rather than protecting myself, isn’t real pride when I protect what’s valuable to me?”

*chehehee..so sweet, it makes me realised being prideful isnt just for oneself*

What disturbed me about this drama is when exactly Young In starts to 'fall' for Seung Hyo, when he's being kind to her (for which he was inhabited by her father) or when he's being rude and a jerk (the real him)? If at the time when he's being kind and caring, it means she falls for her father (ewww!!) and if at the time he's being a jerk - hell, how cud she fall in love with that kinda person? Is she into self-punishment??? Only, when she get to know him better then she could see that underneath the rough exterior hid a person who closed himself up to avoid pain.

I mentioned about Young In’s friends before, they are so adorable also. There is this scene when Sooki teases Yong Duk about still having lingering feelings for his first love (Young In) from way back. She mentions her own first love, an “unperceptive, thick-headed idiot,” which prompted Yong Duk to ask whether he knows the idiot in question. Sooki answers, “You know him well” and mutters softly, “Idiot.” Does that mean her first love was Yong Duk? They should have make a little more story about this sweet couple :(
